Spiritual Direction
As a spiritual director, counselor, and coach, my intention is to support, guide, and nurture connection to my clients faith and spirituality. I am trained to work with people of ALL faith backgrounds and religious traditions. This is a very important distinction from other "faith-based counselors." My work in this area is always informed and directed by the clients' unique faith experience and beliefs.
During the counseling and/or coaching process, as the client agrees and choses to do so, I help clients to resource their faith in ways that will support their individual health goals. My intention is to create a safe place or container for clients to go deeper into the darkness or "mystery" of their experience. It is often the case that in the darkness we find "the light" which ultimately transforms the darkness of our lives. We are reminded that even in the dark places, we can find comfort, strength, and renewed hope.
I offer spiritual direction services to my clients because in my experience optimum health is best achieved when faith and spirituality is integrated in the healing process. As people remember how to resource their faith and spirituality, and deepen their felt sense of the Divine Healer within, healing happens naturally.
